Wabash Area Vocational Enterprises, Inc. will provide Day Program Services, Work Services, and Living Environment Services to the disabled population of Wabash County and surrounding service area in order to foster and maximize independent functioning skills and abilities.

WAVE was started by parents of disabled children in 1973. Today it has an experienced and friendly staff, dedicated to helping people with disabilities develop life skills and placing them in safe environments. WAVE provides Day Program Services, work opportunities, and residential services to those who are in need. They enable people to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, and live better with injury, illness, or disability. Many activities are enjoyed at WAVE, as the favorites include Bingo, Holiday Parties, and playing the Price is Right. As a part of WAVE’s residential program, it provides housing opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA), better known as River Oaks and Morris House. WAVE has a holistic perspective, in which the focus is on adapting the environment and/or task to fit those that they serve, as they are an integral part of the care team.
