Since 1951, the physicians, nurses, and staff at Wabash General Hospital have provided high-quality, compassionate and cost-effective health care to the residents of Wabash County and surrounding communities. Although decades of new knowledge and technology have changed the way they practice medicine, their number one priority remains the same – you.

Although they are proud of the many awards that recognize their efforts to be the best, they are most proud of the personalized experience they offer. Wabash General puts the patient at the center of everything they do. That’s their promise to the community and the foundation of their motto, “people you know, helping people you love.”

WGH continues to grow and expand, as they just completed a $16 million expansion project for a new medical office building, additional space at the orthopedic & rehab facility, and renovated several spaces inside the current hospital. Today, WGH remains a district hospital with 9 people on its Board of Directors, who are appointed by the Wabash County Commissioners. WGH employs over 500 people, has five primary care offices, six orthopedic and sports medicine clinic locations, and athletic trainers at 16 area high schools and junior colleges. WGH offers audiology, cardiology, general surgery, gynecology, hearing clinic, neurology, oncology/hematology, orthopedics & sports medicine, pain clinic, primary care, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and sleep study.
